The engraved nameplate collar puts your dog’s identification right on the collar itself — a stainless steel plate, laser engraved with your dog’s name and your phone number (optional), attached with riveted Chicago screws secured with rivets. It can’t dangle, it can’t jingle, it can’t catch on a branch or a crate wire, and it can’t quietly disappear somewhere in the backyard.
The collar underneath is the same Biothane® construction every Cora’s Canine Collective piece is built on: waterproof, odor-resistant, and cleaned up with a wipe of a damp cloth. Lake day, mud season, dock practice — the collar rinses off and the engraving doesn’t care.

- 1.5″ Double Layer — two-tone color combinations with a contrasting backing
- 2″ Double Layer — bold and structured, made for medium to large dogs
Every width is available in solid Biothane® colors or with a UV-printed artwork top layer. Want some sparkle with your practicality? Add hand-set rhinestones to the backing on 1.5″ and 2″ double layer styles — because tough and beautiful were never opposites here.
Why stainless steel? The 2.5″ × 0.75″ plate is stainless steel for a reason: it won’t rust or tarnish through everyday wear, rain, or swim sessions, and it won’t fade. And because your dog’s information is laser-engraved into the metal — not printed on top of it — it can’t rub off the way it does on those aluminum tags that go blank after a year of adventures.

Sizing
Wrap a soft measuring tape around your dog’s neck where the collar will sit. The measurement should be snug, but not tight. Record the measurement in inches. Your measurement will be used as the center hole of the collar for optimal fit and adjustability. 📏 Tip: Double-check your measurement before ordering. Care Instructions
Wipe the collar clean with a damp cloth and mild soap; the nameplate wipes clean the same way. Rinse and dry hardware thoroughly after swimming — especially after natural saltwater, which our hardware isn’t rated for with prolonged exposure. FAQ Section
Will the nameplate come off? Not on its own. The plate is riveted to the collar. This isn’t a slide-on plate or an adhesive tag.
Is this really silent? Yes — that’s half the reason people order it. There’s no dangling tag, so there’s no jingle on the stairs, no rattle at the water bowl, no tambourine solo at 2am.
Can my dog swim in it? Absolutely. Biothane® is fully waterproof and the engraved plate isn’t affected by water. Rinse and dry the hardware after swims — and if your adventures include the ocean, know that prolonged natural saltwater exposure is tough on any collar hardware, so a freshwater rinse afterward is a must.
Does this replace my dog’s tags? It can replace the everyday ID tag – name and phone number are always on the collar. Your county’s rabies or license tag requirements still apply, so check your local rules. Many of our customers keep required tags on a separate “town collar” and use this one for daily life.
What if my dog’s name is long? The name line fits up to 12 characters. Shorter names get engraved larger; longer names are sized to fit while staying easy to read. If your pup’s full government name is longer than that, message me — nicknames make great nameplates too. I will send you a mockup for approval before engraving to make sure you are happy with the design.
How long does production take? 2-3 weeks from mockup approval. If you have a deadline, contact me before ordering and I’ll let you know if I can accommodate it.
